Day 17 - A movie that disappointed you the most
I'm not too sure. I recently watched A Clockwork Orange right after reading the novel, and I thought that the movie was a bit bland compared to the novel. But then again, I tend to overanalyze tons of movies based on books because I usually prefer the books to the movies and am extremely critical when it comes to the film adaption--especially if I really loved the novel. I did enjoy the film version of ACO, I was just a bit disappointed with how they transferred some things from novel to book--although I really enjoyed how the filmmaker(s) kept nearly true to the novel and were able to make such a great transistional film. The scenes flowed together really well, which is something that makes it easy to 'forgive' the filmmaker(s) for excluding or changing some parts of the novel. I guess I'm just confused--I loved the novel, was an overanalyzing ass while watching he movie, so in turn I was setting myself up for some magnificent adaption and, when I realized I was wrong (as way of my thinking--tons others loved the film, I'm sure) I felt disappointed with the adaption, even though, yes, I did enjoy it. I guess I'll just wait awhile, then rewatch the movie with a newer focus--forget about the novel and try to just enjoy the damn movie.
